Essay Winners Announced for Sustainability Lecture: Ed Gillespie, founder of ‘Futerra’

As part of Fall Open Enrollment on the 3rd of November, 250 students attended the lecture, Sustainability: the Reinvention of Progress given by Ed Gillespie of Futerra . FIE Key Courses including British Life and Cultures, British Life and Business, British Culture and Visual Media and Britain in Europe held a competition for response papers.

FIE is pleased to announce the winners and their prizes:
First Prize Winner for the class British Life and Cultures taught by John Makey: Jessica Corry from The College of New Jersey received a Roberts Solar powered DAB radio in green

Second Prize Winner for the class British Life and Business taught by Anya Nikoulina: Krislyn Aki from Santa Clara University received a stylish complete green shopper satchel

Third Prize Winner for the class British Life and Cultures taught by John Makey: Julianne Parayo from Santa Clara University received a photo album made from recycled paper and a recycled sari
