Originally from Glasgow, Rachel studied history at Lancaster University before commencing a series of travels abroad including South America, South East Asia and working in New Zealand. Between travels she spent 6 very enjoyable months working on reception for the Queen Margaret Union, University of Glasgow. Her enthusiasm for her personal experiences of higher education, combined with a love of travel, sparked an interest in working with international students. At the beginning of 2011 Rachel re-located to London to take up position of Residence Life Supervisor with the FIE, and in May 2011 began the role of Student Life Coordinator.
