Originally from Canada, Yan Yan moved to London on a working holiday after she completed her BA in Philosophy at McGill University. Having had the opportunity to live in five different cities so far, including St. Malo, France, where she was on a student exchange program, she is grateful for every experience that she has had studying, travelling and living abroad. She completed an MA at King’s College London in 2008 and is now pursuing a PhD in Bioethics and Medical Jurisprudence at the University of Manchester. She hopes to continue working in education for the rest of her life.
As the Researcher for Special Projects – Operations, Yan Yan works part-time, and her brief is primarily concerned with HR matters. During her time at FIE, she has also had the opportunity to work directly with students as a lecturer teaching Health Care Ethics, and formerly as one of the Resident Assistants at Metrogate House.
