Ken Hassell is a Professor Emeritus at Elon University and an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of London. His transdisciplinary teaching and scholarship integrate visual culture, postcolonialism, poststructuralism, feminist/queer theory, and human geography among others. Extensive research includes the othering of central Appalachia and, currently, Somali and South Asian women’s agency in the diasporic community of Southall in far west London.
