Katie Hignett

Katie is originally from east London and joined FIE in 2007. She studied American and Canadian Studies at the University of Birmingham, and as part of this spent one year living and studying at the University of California, Santa Barbara. The experience she had on her year abroad in America inspired her to enter a career in international education.
As FIE’s Student Life Coordinator, Katie is first point of contact for students in London, responsible among a broad range of duties for extra-curricular activities, orientations and assisting students on a daily basis with all their questions, needs and concerns.
Katie plays an energetic role in providing FIE students with the most rewarding programme in London, and very much enjoys being Chair of the Marol Academy Workgroup, a member of the Sustainability Action Group and mentoring students awarded the Sharif Rahman Scholarship.
