If your school makes group arrangements in coordination with FIE, please follow your group’s instructions for arrival in Dublin. Check with your study abroad advisor.

You will be notified of your housing assignment approximately 30 days before your arrival.  All students arriving at Dublin airport on the official program start date between 7am and 12pm will be met an FIE staff member and transported to their residence. If you are arriving outside the designated arrival slot you will have to make your own way to the residence. Please let a member of staff know before arrival if you plan to make your way independently from the airport.

You are required to inform FIE of your flight arrangements prior to your program.  If your scheduled flight is delayed, please contact FIE at:

FROM DUBLIN AIRPORT

BY TAXI
A taxi from the airport to Dublin city centre will cost between €35 to €45. This is expensive, but if you are sharing a cab with another student and have heavy luggage, you may find it worthwhile. There are clear directions to the taxi stand in both Terminal 1 and 2.

BY BUS
There are no train services from Dublin airport so the only way, other than taxi, is to take the bus to Dublin city centre. However please remember that as this is a commercial bus service, your residence may still be located a good distance from the bus stop. That could mean a lot of walking with your luggage. For more informatio on the bus services please visit the Dublin Airport website bus services page.
