GolerSoleckiRaised as a vegetarian from birth, Sarah entered the world destined to have a unique relationship with what she eats. Over her lifetime the food she consumes has evolved into something she loves to grow, pick, harvest, preserve, purchase, prepare and share. It is a subject she spends her days celebrating, contemplating, theorizing, writing, talking and teaching about. Sarah specializes in interdisciplinary food studies research. Her joint Erasmus Mundus PhD in Politics and International Studies from the University of Warwick and Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali (LUISS) Guido Carli explored the contested issue of generic cheese names within the global Geographical Indication (GI) food name protection dispute. As a Doctoral Researcher she also taught part-time on a sustainability module at Coventry University. Originally from Colorado, Sarah has spent the last 11 years living, studying, and eating in various European countries from the Czech Republic, Poland and Germany to the UK, Italy and Switzerland. She may no longer be a vegetarian but her interest in all things food continues to expand and evolve.
