Babar is from Karachi, Pakistan, where he studied for a BSc (2003) with Mathematics, Statistics and Physics. He obtained his MSc (2006) in Applied Mathematics from the University of Karachi. Babar moved to London to pursue a Quantitative Finance and Business Analysis programme from London South Bank University. He is presently pursuing a Ph.D. in Quantitative Finance from the same institution.

Babar has been teaching Quantitative Studies for the School of Business, Finance, and Economics at London South Bank University for over four years. He has taught the following courses at LSBU: Quantitative Methods, Mathematics (foundation), Quantitative Literacy, Introduction to Microeconomics for Business, Quantitative Techniques for Business and Finance (undergraduate level), Portfolio Theory, and Investment Analysis (postgraduate level). He is also teaching Microeconomics and Quantitative Methods for Economics, up to level 5, at LSBU.
