Housing While at UEM

The Madrid program offers homestays as the primary housing option. Students improve their language skills and learn about Spanish customs with a Spanish family in Villaviciosa de Odón. Homestay situations vary from traditional families to single professionals. All families are carefully screened and selected by the Resident Director.

All of the homestays and apartments are located in the town of Villaviciosa de Odón, the same town where UEM is located. The homestays might be apartments or houses. Only one student is placed with each family to provide an immersion experience. Students will be included in the family’s activities.

Breakfast and dinner (normally the evening meal) daily are provided with the host family. Laundry is included in the homestay option. Weekday vouchers for lunch on campus in one of the university cafeterias are provided for the apartment option.

Under special circumstances, apartment housing with Spanish students can also be arranged.
