RoderAlessa has a master’s degree from the University of Education Schwäbisch Gmünd and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Münster, Germany, in international relations and communication, anthropology, diversity and immigrant integration, and Spanish.

She has experience of working in the fields of education, politics and recruitment. She is fluent in English, German, Spanish and French and experienced in living, studying and working in Europe and Latin America.

Her fascination for different cultures and languages led her to undertake a one-year voluntary developmental placement in the field of Waldorf education in Peru.  She has also completed internships in a range of settings in Mexico and Spain, promoting intercultural competences and equality of opportunity. Through her stays abroad, she has experienced the value of international education.

In her spare time, Alessa enjoys traveling to explore the diversity of our world, hiking in the peaceful mountains, cycling along the Thames and rowing as a great team sport. She also really likes to be creative and plays the flute.

Alessa is very keen to pursue a career working with young people in their professional and social development in an international setting and will use her experiences of internships in foreign countries to help FIE interns settle into their life and work roles as quickly and smoothly as possible.
