El HanaYoussef was born in Morocco and moved to Gibraltar (a British territory in the south of Spain) at the tender age of 3. He grew up surrounded by the rich language, gastronomy and culture that flows continuously through the Mediterranean. This environment and influence allowed Youssef to become fluent in English, Spanish, Arabic and French.

He moved to London to study Bsc. Biomedical Science in 2012 and followed it with an MSc. Cancer Biology, a PGCE in Secondary Science and now is completing his thesis for an MSc. International Relations all at Kingston University, London.

Throughout his university career, Youssef has been a trustee and delegate for the Union of Kingston Students as well as an active Student Ambassador to this day. In addition to this he has been President of the Basketball and Futsal squads as well as actively involved in student life through societies and outreach work all across London.

For the last 3 years, Youssef has been teaching Science and Spanish at secondary schools in Southwest London. Maintaining his teaching practice while also contributing to mentoring schemes through university initiatives.

London has been home for almost a decade, and the amazingly vibrant and diverse atmosphere that is experienced daily has convinced Youssef to stay longer and help show other young people why this city is a shining beacon of hope and opportunity for people of all kinds.
