Sharma

Charu also teaches first year courses in Geology and Physical Geography at Queen’s University (Canada) in the UK at Herstmonceux Castle in East Sussex.  Her research interests are in modern coastal environments and reconstructions of Late Quaternary marine palaeoenvironments using microfossils.  She has done post-doctoral work at the Smithsonian Institution in the USA, Cambridge University and Plymouth University in the UK.  She has also been a teaching technician in the ocean sciences at Plymouth University.  She is involved in a geo-archaeology research project at Herstmonceux Castle associated with the Summer Field School in British Archaeology.
