Located conveniently across the street from Gloucester Road Underground Station in Kensington, our students, faculty, and visitors get to enjoy one of the most beautiful and historic learning environments in the world. Within walking distance are some of Europe’s great cultural institutions including the Royal Albert Hall, the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Natural History Museum, as well as the shopping districts of High Street Kensington and Gloucester Road. BUNAC: WORKING ADVENTURES WORLDWIDE 

BUNAC’s overseas work, travel, and volunteer programs offer students and young people an enriching and affordable alternative to package tourism. On a BUNAC program, you have the chance to live and breathe another culture from the inside rather than simply passing through as a tourist. For more than 50 years, BUNAC has made it possible for many thousands of young people to explore the world through work, volunteer and internship opportunities.

LESSONS FROM ABROAD

The Lessons From Abroad (LFA) organization seeks to help students make sense of their education abroad experience after they have returned home. LFA offers programming, resources, and research that establishes a community of learners who successfully integrate their international experience in all facets of their academic, personal, and professional lives. MOUNTBATTEN INSTITUTE

Mounbatten offers a full-time, one-year paid internship in London (non-UK/EU citizens only) or New York (non-American citizens only) with evening and weekend study to receive a Postgraduate Certificate or MBA in International Business Practice. MBA candidates who have successfully completed a 12-month work placement and courses, either in London or New York, are eligible to complete their master’s degree with guided fieldwork in the Asia Pacific Region, based in Bangkok, Thailand.

STUDY ACROSS THE POND

Study Across The Pond provides free personal advice, guidance, and assistance with the application process to successfully help US students apply for postgraduate study in the UK. A Master’s degree in the UK has many advantages over a US Master’s degree. It only takes 12 months to complete, saving you both time and money, in addition to the invaluable international experience gained. Across The Pond works with specific institutions in the UK and they will be able to advise you on which universities may be best for you.

FULBRIGHT COMMISSION
The Fulbright Commission provides funding for students, scholars, teachers and professionals to continue their studies abroad. Opportunities are available for US and non-US students.

JET PROGRAM

Teach in Japan. The Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program invites college graduates from the US to participate in international exchange that seeks to help enhance internationalization in Japan by promoting mutual understanding between Japan and other nations. The program also aims to improve foreign language education in Japan and to encourage international exchange at the local level by fostering ties between Japanese youth and foreign youth.

COUNCIL ON INTERNATIONAL EDUCATIONAL EXCHANGE (CIEE)

CIEE has paid Teach Abroad programs in Chile, China, Dominican Republic, South Korea, Spain, Thailand and Vietnam. They also provide study, volunteer, and internship programs.

PEACE CORPS

Peace Corps volunteers live, learn, and work with a community overseas to promote world peace and understanding. American citizens can work with governments, schools, non-profit organizations (NPOs), non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and entrepreneurs in education, hunger, business, information technology, agriculture and the environment.

WORLDTEACH

WorldTeach is a non-profit, non-governmental organization founded by a group of Harvard students in 1986 in response to the need for educational assistance in developing countries. It also addressed a growing interest among people in the U.S. and elsewhere to serve, teach and learn as volunteers overseas. Since its inception, WorldTeach has placed thousands of volunteer educators in communities throughout Asia, Latin America, Africa, Eastern Europe and the Pacific.

SCHOOL OF RECORD TRANSCRIPTS 

If you were registered with one of FIE’s Schools of Record for your program, you will need to request your transcript directly from them:

Drexel University

  • You should request your transcript via the National Student Clearinghouse (www.getmytranscript.com)
  • Enter Drexel University as the school.
  • You will be required to enter some details, including your Date of Birth and your Drexel Student ID. If you are unsure of your Drexel Student ID, please contact Jessica Burbury at FIE or the Drexel Registrar’s Office

St. Norbert College

  • You will have been registered with St. Norbert College if you attended the N.U.in Programme in the fall of 2014 or before
  • You need to request your study abroad transcript through St. Norbert's online Knightline student portal system
  • The first time you make a request, you should call the St. Norbert Registrar's Office at (920) 403-3216 to get access to the system
  • After providing some basic security information you will receive a temporary password and a link to the Knightline system, where you can set up permanent security information so you don't need to call every time
  • Once you get in to Knightline, go to Student Services, then Student Records, and select ‘Request Printed/Official Transcript’ and follow the directions to complete the request
  • If you do not have access to your ID number, please enter all 9s as your ID

Marist College

  • You will have been registered with Marist College if you attended the N.U.in or iCharleston fall programs from the fall of 2015 onwards, or if you attended the Dublin Business School semester program and required a School of Record Transcript
  • You should go to http://www.marist.edu/registrar/transcripts.html and follow the instructions.
  • If you were registered with Marist College from fall 2016 onwards, you will have received a my.marist login in the account details provided to you at your FIE registration.  You can use these to request your transcript by logging in to my.marist.edu and navigating to the Student tab > Banner Self Service > Student Records > Request Printed Transcript

CREDIT GRANTED BY HOME UNIVERSITY

If your home university granted the credit for your program, your study abroad courses should feature on your home university transcript. You should enquire with your home university directly
