FIE’s student residences are located in some of the most vibrant parts of London, a short Tube ride or walk away from Foundation House study center. FIE’s study center lies in the heart of historic and charming Kensington. Upscale Kensington boasts world-renowned museums and shopping, as well as easy access to the rest of the city via the Gloucester Road tube station.
All FIE student housing and study facilities are in the city center Zone 1 locality and well-serviced by the 24-hour public transport system. By residing in Zone 1, you can optimize your study abroad experience by easily visiting and familiarizing yourself with all the city has to offer, from museums to clubs and cafes. FIE is ideally situated for ease of study, travel, and visiting culutral and historic places.
Student residential buildings in the Kensington area are usually mid to late 19th century converted townhouses. Some are flats and some are floor style. Most students will live in double, triple, and quad occupancy rooms. Each bedroom is fully furnished. Common kitchens are equipped with cookware, silverware, and dishes. Metrogate, our main housing facility in London, offers app-operated laundry facilities for use by FIE residents. All residences feature common living areas where students can interact.
Student residences in other areas of the city may be purpose built or have more modern amenities.
Students will be notified within 30-days of the program start date and given details of their housing placements.

RESIDENCE LIFE SUPERVISORS
Residence Life Supervisors, or RLS, are available at all FIE residences and can assist you with any residence life questions or concerns outside of Foundation House Office Hours. Unlike many US universities, FIE RLS are not undergraduate students. We are proud to have an elite team of academics pursuing postgraduate study or occupying teaching positions in London. The RLS help to foster an environment conducive for learning.
