Job Summary:
The Timetabling Officer plays a central role in the administrative and academic operations of the Foundation for International Education (FIE). Based within the Administration Team, this role is focused on managing and delivering accurate academic schedules and course registrations for study abroad students on multiple programmes. Using the CELCAT timetabling software, the Timetabling Officer ensures that course schedules are accurate, efficient and tailored to individual student needs. The role requires close collaboration with faculty, academic staff and international partners to manage course registration, scheduling and teaching contracts, while maintaining accurate records and resolving timetable conflicts as they arise.
This position also includes administrative oversight of programme delivery, supports the Front Office team and contributes actively to the day-to-day operations and wider affairs of the Administration Team.
The main skills and qualifications required for this position:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in UK/US higher education.
- Strong knowledge and previous use of timetabling software (e.g. CELCAT).
- Experience in student-facing roles and busy office environments
- Excellent time management, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service abilities.
- Professional, flexible, and team-oriented approach.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and database systems.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
