The below are the general program dates for our Study, Study & Internship, and Study & Service Internship programs at FIE. With the exception of FIE Online - Fall Internships, all Fall 2020 programs in London and Dublin have been suspended. This is due to ongoing concerns around COVID-19.

WITHDRAWL & REFUND POLICY

In light of the uncertainties around Covid-19, for Spring 2021 and until further notice, FIE's policy is the following:

Students may cancel with a full refund any time prior to their program start date.

In the event that a student withdraws or FIE cancels the program, before the start date, students will be refunded all fees (including the program deposit fee).

All recoverable costs will be refunded in the event of CDC or State Department travel advisory levels of 3 or 4 respectively, and the suspension of a programme before the expected end date. These recoverable costs include those related to extra- and co-curricular activities, prorated insurance, prorated local travel, prorated housing costs.

In the event of program interruption, courses will continue in an online format with the exception of the International Internship Course, which includes the internship placement.

 

FIE's standard Withdrawal and Refund Policy is below.

To withdraw from your program, you must notify FIE in writing. Refunds will be issued as follows:

  • If you withdraw 31 days or more prior to the first day of the program, you will receive 100% of the program fee minus a cancellation fee of $500.

  • If you withdraw 30 days or less prior to the first day of the program, you will receive 10% of the total program fee minus a cancellation fee of $500.

  • If you withdraw on or after the first day of the program, no refund will be issued.

 ADMISSIONS APPEALS, COMPLAINTS, AND FEEDBACK

  • Applicants may appeal admission denial by submitting in writing a signed letter of appeal within two weeks of receiving their admissions decision.  The letter can be scanned and emailed to: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

  • A letter of appeal submitted by a person other than the applicant will not be considered. Applicants must present new and compelling information that was not contained in the original application. The outcome of the appeal will be provided to the applicant within two weeks of receipt of the appeal. 

  • Applicants wishing to submit a complaint regarding the process itself or their treatment in the process or gain further feedback on a denial, should do so through emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., which is monitored by a member of FIE’s Senior Leadership Team.  Applicants should fully detail the issue and provide any supporting documentation. The applicant will receive a response within 5 working days. Emails written by a person other than the applicant will not be considered.
