Providing extensive credit-earning program options for students on a quarter calendar:
Expand Your Mind, Expand Your Future
FIE offers unrivaled, life-changing study abroad programs in the United Kingdom and Ireland that will open up your future. For students who attend quarter universities and colleges, or those operating on a trimester system, FIE is the leading provider of study and internship abroad programs specially designed for these institutions’ calendars.
We’re redefining the classroom and creating active educational experiences that expand minds, foster cultural intelligence, and open up exciting opportunities. As part of that, FIE has the most options available for all four quarters of the year in our London and Dublin suite of programs.
Authentic, Hands-On Experiences
All of our quarter programs are hands-on experiences, featuring a rich extracurricular experience to foster community connections allowing students to participate in the British or Irish culture on an authentic basis.
These include challenging and fascinating courses, housing, course-based and extracurricular activities, and unrivaled support from the dedicated, caring team of professional FIE faculty and staff. There’s also an opportunity to undertake an internship during our summer quarter program in London as well.
Affordable Programming to Help Create Your Future and Make a Difference in the World
Not only are our programs affordable, but all of our quarter programs also come with the opportunity to apply for generous scholarships - and FIE does not charge an application fee.
Additionally, you may be able to use your federal, state, or university financial aid or scholarships on our programs, but check with your home campus study abroad and financial aid offices to be sure.
Options for All
And if none of our full quarter offerings meet your needs, we have a host of semester-based and summer programs as well. For those contemplating a semester-long experience, typically the best time of year for a quarter-system student is the fall semester, where you only have to take one quarter off at your home university. The spring semester can work, however, that typically necessitates taking two quarters off but the trade-off is you can usually utilize two quarters’ worth of financial aid.
