Ahaji Schreffler is the Director of Programs in Drexel University’s Office of Global Engagement and Education Abroad. She has over 16 years of experience in education abroad and a MS in Education. In her role, Ahaji is responsible for managing the study abroad advising team, study abroad program development, and helping to shape policies, practices, and initiatives relating to global education. Since 2012, Ahaji’s work has focused largely on the expansion of Drexel’s Intensive Course Abroad initiative, a portfolio that she has grown from 5 to 30 faculty-led courses per year. Ahaji teaches two Community Based Learning study abroad courses in Haiti and is also the Founder of We The Village, a grass roots non-profit organization dedicated to supporting under-served children in Haiti. Ahaji is the Vice President of Drexel’s Black Faculty and Professional Staff Association and Founder of the Drexel Meditation Group, two organizations that strengthen community across Drexel’s campus. Additionally, Ahaji has also served on several national committees, such as the Diversity Abroad STEM Task Force.
