Global Leadership Challenge in Social Responsibility: Examining the Opportunities of Economic, Ethical, Legal, and Philanthropic Responsibilities

This is a one-hour workshop on Carroll’s Four-Part Framework for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). This workshop is focused on raising awareness of the complexity of CSR through the four responsibilities proposed by Archie B. Carroll: economic, ethical, legal, and philanthropic responsibilities. The participants will utilize this framework to analyze a specific case study among four small groups divided by responsibilities. Each small group will take 15 minutes to apply their assigned responsibility to the case study and back brief the entire workshop. The knowledge gained in this workshop will expose participants to some of the challenges in Global Leadership to meet the needs and expectations of global and local stakeholders while implementing CSR.
