Sobia is an adaptive and proactive professional with a “can do” attitude in life. She is originally from Pakistan and holds a Master’s degree in Advertising and Marketing from University of Hull, where she she achieved the Hull Employability Award and gained recognition for activities undertaken through her studies. She worked as International Student Ambassador while studying and then completed her internship with the University of Hull Press Office. Sobia moved to London after graduation to work with Queen Mary University of London Career and Enterprise centre where she successfully ran two career programmes.
Sobia is very passionate to support international students in building and shaping their career. She is a strong advocate of inclusivity and diversity, and enjoys writing blogs which in addition to her press releases have featured on the University of Hull website. Sobia loves traveling, dancing, yoga and has just started taking swimming lessons to learn this life saving skill. She has two cats who are fat and grumpy but cute!
