The Foundation for International Education (www.fie.org.uk) is an international higher education organisation with over 25 years of expertise in developing and managing experiential learning experiences. Working in partnership with universities and colleges, primarily from the US, we provide immersive study abroad programmes for undergraduate students in London, Dublin, Madrid, Barcelona and Amman.
FIE is currently seeking qualified, enthusiastic and confident applicants for the following full-time, permanent position within the Marketing Team.
Job Title: Director of Marketing
Location: Remote
Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 commensurate upon experience.
Start Date: June 2024

The Director of Marketing will be leading on the development of our overarching and evolving marketing and sales plans. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director of Marketing will oversee the London based Marketing Team in addition to working with our wider team based in the UK, Ireland, Spain and the US. As Director of Marketing, you will be at the forefront of championing the FIE’s organisational mission to provide high quality educational experiences to the global community. This is a great opportunity for a strategic thinker to lay strong foundations for the department and company, starting with the company’s brand and voice, and looking at wider data and trends within the market to ensure successful plans for sales and recruitment.
We are keen to speak to individuals with a proven successful track record in the strategic leadership of marketing in higher education ideally with a good understanding of the study abroad market. Proven experience in the successful design, implementation and management of marketing and sales strategies is essential for the role, as well as the ability to use complex sector data to evaluate the impact of shifts in student behaviours on FIE’s operational and strategic plans.
The successful candidate will be an adept project manager, possess strong graphic design and print preparation ability in Adobe Creative Suite with excellent writing skills. You are likely to be educated to graduate level or have gained an equivalent level of experience. You will be a strong leader with the ability to coach and build a values-led, mission driven team and possess thoughtful meaningful interpersonal communication skills. FIE is a highly collaborative organisation and collegial working with staff from all teams to deliver projects, materials, and support is essential.
