About

With nearly 20 years of experience in higher education, she brings extensive expertise in education abroad, with a focus on faculty development, program design, and student-centered experiential learning. In her role, Joy provides leadership for study abroad and incoming exchange initiatives, working in close partnership with faculty and institutional stakeholders to embed global learning across the curriculum. She is particularly committed to developing accessible, high-impact programs that advance student engagement, intercultural competence, and academic integration. Her commitment to international education is informed by her own experience as a first-generation college student studying abroad in Scotland, which continues to shape her advocacy for equitable access to global opportunities. Joy holds a Master’s degree in Leadership in Student Affairs from the University of St Thomas, Minnesota.
