FIE: Foundation for International Education is pleased to announce the addition of Richmond American University London (RAUL) as a new direct enroll study abroad option for FIE partner institutions and their students.
Beginning with Fall 2026, eligible students may now enroll directly at RAUL while benefiting from FIE’s comprehensive student support, housing on our Kensington campus, cultural programming and on-site services in London.
This new option expands academic choice for students seeking a small, supportive university environment with an American-style academic structure in the heart of London. RAUL offers a liberal arts curriculum, discussion-based classes, and strong advising, making it an excellent fit for students who value mentorship, structure, and continuous assessment alongside the independence of studying abroad.
Students enrolled at RAUL through FIE will:
- Enroll in three elective courses per term at 4 US credit hours each, earning a total of 12 US credit hours issued on a RAUL transcript
- Study in small, seminar style classes typically ranging from 10 to 20 students with British students and international students from 60 different countries
- Choose from hundreds of electives across the academic year, with strengths in politics, business, film, fashion, psychology, computer science, and AI
- Receive early access to course selection and timetables compared to traditional UK universities
- In addition to their electives, be enrolled in FIE’s signature British Life course and co-curricular programming based at FIE’s Kensington campus
- Live in FIE’s dedicated Kensington residence alongside other FIE students, benefiting from a built in community, on site support staff, and a centrally located home base in London
Adding RAUL as a direct enroll partner gives FIE’s institutional partners another high-quality option for students who want the UK experience without navigating a fully British academic system. The option is particularly well suited for students who thrive in smaller classes, value hands on academic guidance, and want to be part of a close-knit campus community while living in one of the world’s most global cities.
