Experience FIE Firsthand
FIE invites study abroad advisors and other university colleagues from current and prospective partner institutions to experience our programs firsthand through the FIE Site Visit Program for Advisors.
A site visit offers an opportunity to go beyond program descriptions and see what the FIE student experience looks like on the ground. You can meet the people who support our students, explore where they study and live, experience elements of FIE programming, and gain a deeper understanding of our academic provision, student support, and approach to experiential education.
FIE offers periodic group site visits in London, Dublin, Madrid, and Barcelona during the fall, spring, and summer. Some visits coincide with student arrivals and orientation, while others are connected to particular programs, events, or areas of FIE’s academic provision.
What Might an FIE Site Visit Include?
Each visit is shaped around its location, timing, and program focus. Depending on the opportunity, your itinerary may include:
- Meeting FIE staff, on-site teams, and members of FIE leadership
- Meeting our academic and university partners
- Touring teaching facilities, partner campuses, and student accommodation
- Observing or participating in elements of student orientation
- Meeting current students and learning about their experiences
- Exploring FIE’s academic, internship, and experiential learning opportunities
- Learning about student life, wellbeing, health and safety, and on-site support
- Participating in cultural activities, field visits, or other elements of FIE programming
- Discussing your institution’s needs and potential opportunities to work with FIE
- Learning about FIE programs across our other locations
